How Janine Shed 48 Pounds At 71 Years Old

One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing my clients accomplish their health and weight goals especially when they didn’t believe it was possible.  I love seeing my clients in their 60s and 70s exceed their own expectations.  

Just like my client Janine Heydrick of Florida…

She lost 48 lbs at 71 years old in 7.5 months! But WOW she accomplished so much more than just weight loss from eating optimally.  More than she imagined she could!

I’m sharing my client success interview with her below so prepare to be inspired! 

I remember my first conversation with Janine before she hired me as her Nutritionist… 

At 71 years old, she was very unhappy with her weight, was tired all the time, and was taking naps in the middle of the day.  She was taking medications she didn’t want to.  Janine felt like she was falling apart but had no motivation.  Her doctor recommended she get a Nutritionist.  So she did and I’m SO glad she did because here’s what Janine accomplished from working together for 7.5 months… Click the video below or keep reading!

Janine…

  • Lost 48 pounds and is maintaining it!

  • Reduced her blood pressure medication by 50% within the first 10 weeks of eating optimally!

  • Eliminated her pain medication – Hydrocodone.  The pain in her feet and legs disappeared almost instantly when she started eating optimally so no need for the pain medication anymore! The pain used to be a 10/10.

  • Exercises almost 5 days a week now and she wasn’t exercising at all before she started eating optimally!  It’s been YEARS since she’s had a routine like this.  

  • She prioritizes taking care of her health now that she knows what to do and what works!

  • Can walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath again.

  • Can do anything she wants without worrying about her weight and health anymore! Love this!

  • Falls asleep more easily AND now she’s waking up rested! Her sleep has improved.

How Diana Shed 45 pounds at 59 years old!

Last week I interviewed a client that lost 45 pounds in 8 months from eating optimally.  Today, I’m delighted to share my interview with her – Diana, from Southern California. 

She’s 59 and learned how to eat optimally based on her goals, tastebuds, and lifestyle from me, Nutritionist, Trisha Mandes.  Which is amazing because before eating optimally and working with me Diana felt…

  • Hopeless.  She’d reached her highest weight ever before hiring me.

  • Confused from all of the contradictory nutrition information and struggled with unsustainable diets.

  • That she had to accept that she was going to be overweight for the rest of her life although she didn’t want to.  She’d been stuck not being able to keep weight off for the last 7-8 years.

Plus, she was in a lot of pain, couldn’t walk up and down the stairs and was losing her balance which scared her.

How Colleen Lost 50 Pounds and Improved Her Myasthenia Gravis with Optimal Eating

Colleen Halverson was days away from going to the doctor to ask for anti-depressants.  She was so down about her health, her weight and how she was feeling physically and emotionally.  Colleen has Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disorder and after years of steroids, she couldn’t lose weight for the last two years.  She was 67 at this time and was running out of hope.  Until one day…

  • Lost 52 lbs in 7 months amongst having an autoimmune disease

  • Reduced her prednisone to <10mg/day so is experiencing fewer side effects!

  • Is 2 lbs away from the weight that she was 9 years ago! 

  • Feels better everyday. Not tired or weak

  • No longer leaves the table hungry and feels satiated

  • No longer feels sluggish after eating or has regrets after she eats 

  • Is walking more, doing strength training and is more productive

  • Improved her emotional state. She is more confident, proud, and less depressed.

  • Renewed interest in her hobbies. She is working on her sewing projects again and can work on multiple projects at once.

I’m so glad she did.

Friday I was featured live on the WFMZ 69 News, cooking three different optimal meals for Shedding Pounds Sustainably (with help from you choosing what I should make!)!  

I was on the Sunrise Chef Cooking Segment. I had an amazing time sharing the benefits of optimal eating for Shedding Pounds Sustainably and even disease reversal! (Lol I even talked about being a competitive pole dancer!).
